Greenville County's land disturbance permit applies at one acre or more of disturbance, which a single Sans Souci yard almost never reaches — it matters more for larger clearing jobs. What does matter on these blocks is water: Langston Creek runs through the neighborhood and the Reedy River is close by, parts of the ground sit low, and the real work is grading and drainage that keeps a creek-side clay lot dry.
