McCormick grew up on top of a gold mine and took the name of the man who bought it — these days the draw is quieter: national-forest timber country, farm acreage, and lake life at Savannah Lakes Village on Lake Thurmond. We clear and grade home sites, cut gravel drives through pine land, and keep rural parcels usable, from town out to the lake communities. It's the same red-clay ground we work across the Upstate, and every job starts the same way — Brian walks the land with you and puts the scope and price in writing.
On your lot, yes — but the shoreline strip between private land and the water belongs to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and removing trees or underbrush there requires a Corps permit through the Thurmond Project Office. We work to your surveyed line and help you sort out where the Corps strip begins before anything gets cut.
Yes. McCormick is timber and farm country, and much of our work there is exactly that scale — overgrown acreage, pasture reclaim, gravel drives back to a home site. If it fits our equipment we'll take it, and if it doesn't we'll say so on the walk.
