Owner-run clearing, grading, and driveways for the Electric City, from Highway 81 subdivisions to family-farm acreage.
New subdivisions are filling in along Highway 81, Shockley Ferry Road, and Midway Road, and the I-85 corridor is pulling in industry and homes alike. But much of the county is still what it always was: family-farm acreage that needs clearing, grading, and a good gravel drive. The ground is rolling Piedmont under Cecil red clay that punishes careless grading and holds water where it shouldn't. You deal with the owner start to finish. He walks the site, then the price goes in writing before any dirt moves.
Heavy brush to whole wooded lots. Cleared, hauled, and left build-ready.

Not without a permit from the Corps of Engineers. The strip between a Hartwell lot and the water is federal land. Removing trees or vegetation there requires contacting the Hartwell Shoreline Management office first, and unauthorized clearing of federal property draws citations and fines. We know where private grading stops and Corps land begins, and we keep the work on the right side of that line.
It depends on the size of the disturbance and where the driveway meets the road. Sites under one acre complete a Land Disturbing Activity information sheet with county Development Standards. At an acre or more, or within a common development plan, a Stormwater Management Permit is required. A new driveway connecting to a public road also needs an encroachment permit through SCDOT or county Roads and Bridges. We know the county process and handle it as part of the job.
The full lineup: land clearing, grading, excavation, gravel driveway installation, and pond digging, for homes, farms, and building sites in and around Anderson.
